In addition to its gorgeous white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters, the Turks and Caicos Islands has the well-deserved reputation as one of the world’s best regions to dive.
Situated on an enormous underwater plateau, the Turks and Caicos is an archipelago comprising 40 islands and cays surrounded by the world’s third largest coral ecosystem. SCUBA divers gather from far and wide to explore its dramatic topographies - ranging from colorful, thriving reefs to the Caribbean’s most magnificent walls with sheer drop-offs of more than 7000ft.
Get ready to experience some of the most remarkable dive sites found within the pristine waters of protected nature reserves and national parks. These waters teem with a vibrant spectrum of reef fish and a diverse array of larger marine life including dolphins, whale sharks, several types of sharks, rays, and sea turtles.
Witness the spectacle of Humpback whales during their migration months from January through April and observe nurse sharks during their mating season at French Cay from July through September.
A DIVER'S DREAM
You can dive year round in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Water temperatures range from a high of 29°C (84°F) from August through October to a low of 26°C (79°F) from January through April. A 3mm wetsuit is ideal. The Turks and Caicos Islands is an ideal region for SCUBA divers and underwater photographers of all levels.
Visibility is typically outstanding, averaging 100ft (30m), and there is little or no current. Surface conditions are also typically calm, although a few swells may arise from November through March.
To dive in the Turks and Caicos, you must be certified by a recognized certification agency (typically PADI) and have your certification card in your possession. Learn more about [Diving Certification] before you visit us.
Through prior arrangement, it is possible to complete your final qualifying dives for certification during your charter with us. Please contact us for more details.
If it’s been some time since your last dive, PRIVÉ Fine Ocean Charters can arrange to have an experienced diving instructor on board to refresh your diving knowledge and re-certify you and anyone else from your party that will be diving. Advance notice of at least 30 days is required. Please contact us for more details.
It is not necessary that you bring any personal diving equipment to dive with PRIVÉ Fine Ocean Charters. From masks and snorkels to regulators and wrist computers, we maintain an extensive inventory of modern, top-of-the-line diving equipment, and the use of this equipment is included with your charter.
